CiD 2.0

It is finally here-CiD 2.0.  Whew!

I have been working on this new design from concept to fruition for months.  I started and stopped more times than I can remember and I coded two other designs before settling in on customizing this one (yes, you can find similar designs our there).  I really like how it turned out but before you get too comfortable... it is still a work-in-progress.  So, there will be some design elements that get added as well as some additional tweaks.  However, most of the heavy lifting has been done.

So, what's new... besides everything?
1- New custom, embedded Twitter feed
2- New social media/networking buttons
3- Navigation elements (home, about, donate, & subscribe) at the top of the page and bottom (as well as a 'back to top' button)
4- New commenting system (I will dive into this in a bit more detail)
5- New sharing options at the bottom of each post making it easier for you to plaster posts all over the internet

Still to come...
1- Social justice/mobilization area
2- Visual bookshelf
3- Additional social media/networking links
4- Subscribe via email

Content will not change.  Period.  This is a blogsite of life, leadership and learning.  More importantly, CiD is the story that God is telling through my life by Christ living in me.
So here's the new deal with comments... I will no longer moderate them just monitor them.  This means that I will allow any/all comments on this blogsite but I will need to approve everyone the first time they comment.  Once approved, go for it.  One caveat, I still reserve the right to remove any/all comments that I deem divisive and I will do this at my discretion.  There may also be posts that I disallow comments altogether.  As I have said before, if you don't like my decision, go get your own website. :-)

So after 2 years, CiD has a new look and feel.  I love that new blogsite scent!  I hope you like it as much as I do.  If you have any recommendations for additions or any suggestions, let me know.

Peace.
