In January, I wrote about my word for 2010: equilibrium. I wanted to visually represent what living with equilibrium on full tilt toward Jesus actually looks like. This picture says it all.
Water is such a great example of equilibrium and I was reminded of this as I was reminiscing of my days in the building industry.
Water always tries to find
equilibrium; it is in its nature.
Of course, most homeowners don't want to hear that the water vapor in their home is trying to equalize with the water vapor outside their home because it is one of the causes of window condensation.
However, water aggressively pursues equalization regardless of the environment.
I pray that this would be true of me this year- that I would continue to pursue equilibrium; that I would live on full tilt for Jesus regardless of the environment, regardless of the circumstances; that I would live a life of reckless grace with such radical love, faith and hope that it would demand a Gospel explanation... because no other explanation would make sense apart from Jesus.
